I think they're just a day of two old here. At least one should be coming to me for training, so watch for them on a field near you! Gina uses him on the farm and also trials him occasionally. Rumour has it that you have a new working Kelpie? Do tell. We'll have to get you up to Canada for one of our Kelpie days. blackacre Posted November 3, 2006 Author Report Share Posted November 3, 2006 No, I'm not out of Kelpies, just taking a break. As I say, I will probably be training one of these pups for Gina. We are also looking at getting another Kelpie together from Meaghan Thacker in Florida, who has breeding we like, so that I can trial it and Gina can continue the line she has. I have a student with a dog from this breeding that is really nice. I put on Kelpie days every once in a while for the benefit of my students and others with Kelpies in my area to encourage recognition of and preservation of working ability in the breed. Sounds pretentious, but they're becoming so popular in agility that it needs to be done. I'll let you know about the next one if you're interested in coming. My girl was put on sheep for the first time and really impressed my naive eyes It would be a haul- about 6 hours min, but if it was lots of kelpies over a few days- I will be there!
