MoonMaiden
Hi I have a new baby who I have called Tor. He is an 8 week old farm bred tri colour BC. I am looking for information on nutrition and best foods. There doesn't seem to be any BC message baords for the UK, but I am looking for opinions on high protein content in a young pups diet. There seems to be a leaning towards there being minmal amounts so as to ensure slow and strong growth as opposed to rapid weak growth which is put down to the protein content. I have been researching holistic foods like Burns which is looking like my best option to move him onto at the moment. But wished to get more opinions from other BC owners. So what are peoples opinions on nutrition for a BC feeding. Moon Maiden
juliepoudrier
Maybe some folks who are familiar with what's available in the U.K. will answer, but as far as going for lower protein and keeping the pup thin and growth on the slow side, this is accepted practice here in the U.S. to help avoid joint problems later. Spike's Bitch
I feed raw myself, but if I was going for a good kibble I'd look at James Wellbeloved or Burns. And welcome to the boards - I have a vague memory of seeing you around when I lurked at Champdogs, and if I'm right you should fit in well here. Rub Tor's ears for me! Spike's Bitch
I ended up as CaptainsLady on Champdogs because it has some sort of filter that won't allow the word 'bitch' in a username, which I thought was a bit daft on a board about dogs! I haven't bothered with them for a long time, though; I like it much better here. This is my Spike Liz & the Captain xxx
MoonMaiden
awwwww he gorgeous Liz. I reckon I may stick around here also - the champdogs site is good but it is very generalised, not breed specific. Moon

That was last winter's one and only snowfall, and the first we've had here in about five years, so I had to make sure to photograph Spike in it. Bournemouth is too damn far South...
