Styles of training

Really glad that things are better for you and Lottie!   I would encourage you in the future to listen to your "gut" feelings with regard to Lottie. She is your dog and you obviously care a great deal for her and want only the best for her. One of the best things you can do for her is pay very close attention to her behavior, and the little "tell" signs that she makes that indicate how she is feeling. The better you can read your dog's body language, the better owner and trainer and buddy you can be for her. If your "gut" is telling you something isn't the right thing for her, it is most likely right, and I personally always go for that feeling and don't give a rip what anyone else says or thinks about it. You know your dog the best, and you are the one she is going to be counting on to make the best decisions for her. It sounds as though you are on the right track. Good for you.
