ShellyF
This evening our pup was chewing on a cow ear. He normally doesn’t finish any of his chews and I end up ditching the last bits after he’s enjoyed them for several evenings and then lost interest. This evening I guess he felt like a big boy. I realised that he was enjoying chewing for much longer than normal and was surprised that when he stood up the cow ear was gone. I thought he sounded a bit raspy and checked his throat but all seemed fine. He then started doing zoomies which he rarely does now and certainly not this late in the evening. After a few zooms around plus some large leaps on and off furniture the cow ear remains appeared in his mouth, he chewed and swallowed again and this time no rasping. It was clear that he had zoomed and jumped around to regurgitate the cow ear in order to swallow it properly. I wonder if dog zoomies are normally driven by digestive issues ???
