App for Health Records?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone use, or know of, an app for tracking health records? I think they are available for livestock tracking, and if so, should be applicable to pet records. Free or low cost please.

Thanks.

What device(s) are you using, and which operating system? I have my cat on PetDesk for iOs and my dogs on Pawprint for iOS, which I can access on iPhone and iPad. You can find consumer reviews at each link. Or, if you use the same platform as I do and you want to go with a livestock app, there is HerdBoss.

Jovi,

My veterinarian encourages her clients to use VitusVet to have access to their pets' records on their phone anytime and anywhere. My vet's office adds records of vaccinations, surgical procedures, lab work, etc., and they can also share records with any specialty practices that I use. Also, I have found the app is very easy to use. My vet's office is covering the cost of the service, and here is the link: http://vitusvet.com/

Regards,

nancy

Haha, I am one of those dinosaurs keeping an actual notebook, in which I keep a training diary, and list health issues/ medication.

Smalahundur, I am a bit of a dinosaur about many things, too. At home, I have a folder for each of my dogs (past and present) that contains every record relating to them. However, it's unlikely that I would think to take those records with me if we needed to rush to an emergency clinic at midnight. Also, if we are traveling and an emergency occurs, I would have their complete records immediately available on my phone. So, I decided to take a step out of the dark ages and load another "app" on my phone (and it was painless, too!).

Regards,

nancy

Oh, I was not criticizing ( the "haha" was laughing at myself ;) ), no doubt it can be very practical having this stuff on your phone.
