Ivermectin sensitivity--new research

Hey,

Are most of you folks subscribers to the working sheepdog list? If so, then you'll see the post about the researcher who has found the gene associated with ivermectin sensitivity in collies. If not, hen I can ask permission to cross post it here.

Hey...

 

I would like more info on the 'working sheepdog list'. My vet cautioned me against using Ivomec on my 3 month old bc pup (after the fact, but no ill effects, thankfully.)

 

I've just found this forum, while looking for more detailed info on this subject.

 

BTW...Has anyone had any experience using any of the other livestock wormers (such as Cydectin) to control heartworms, as well as the other parasites.
