knightrider
My 6 mo old girl has some swelling high inside front leg. Her lameness is only noticeable at a trot which she doesn't do often so it's hard tell exactly when this happened but I noticed it mostly last night. I'm calling the vet when they open, but of course I'm worried about this..any words of advice on recovery and issues or success?
GentleLake
Sorry, no insight or advice, but best wishes. Please let us know what the vet says.
Sue R
This is really something your vet will have to determine with a hands-on exam and expertise. Best wishes for an uneventful conclusion and recovery!
Gloria Atwater
Until your vet sees her, there's really no way to say. Just if the vet says crate rest and leash walks, do it to the letter. Best of luck!~ Gloria
knightrider
The swelling was in my head...lol. Guess I was looking too hard. Vet didn't find anything glaring that warranted X-rays yet so she told me to use some meloxicam for a week and try to keep her quiet..and how do I do that? Oh my. That's going to be tough
knightrider
She's actually paddling out a bit with her shoulder..
tokeefe2
Glad the vet didn't find anything serious. Hope she does well.
knightrider
I'm not really seeing improvement. Will probably call today for a follow up. ☹️
Sue R
What did the vet say he/she thought it was?
gcv-border
Yes, interested in the diagnosis by the vet. I would take her to an ortho vet ( specialist). They are much better at diagnosing similar problems to what you have described. Speaking from experience.
