tashakota
This came across a Yahoo group I'm on. Not sure if anyone can help. I'd be willing to assist in some way but I can't take him in. A BC in danger of being PTS/Portland Oregon. Read below and crosspost.. posted by: Chicory Eddy, DVM nuggett1988 at comcast dot net 15 month old neutered male Border Collie was brought into my clinic today for euthanasia. The DVM who saw him convinced the owner to give us a couple days to try to find him a new home. He is great at home and at the clinic, and with his housemate cats and dogs. However, he is apparently very leash reactive and lunges at other dogs and kids, has never actually bitten, but the owners have had it with him. He sounds like a great prospect for Agility, herding, or other performance with someone who really understands BCs and can work with his reactivity. He only has till Thursday to find a prospective home, so please contact me ASAP if seriously interested, or know a rescue willing to take him and work with him. Redbirdie
Is there a reason they haven't tried Multnomah County Animal Services or any other shelters? I've met and dealt with the MCAS people and they are great. Robin This came across a Yahoo group I'm on. Not sure if anyone can help. I'd be willing to assist in some way but I can't take him in. MrSnappy
The dog is in rescue already, I believe. He was posted all over the place, and BCR in Oregon already has him covered. RDM
