TAC2
I know if anyone can help, it will be one of the folks in this group! Does anyone have a shearer they could recommend who works in central Virginia near Charlottesville or Richmond? The person I thought would be able to do our sheep just responded to my follow-up email to tell me she did not get my confirmation and has now filled her book. We have a flock of six sheep and one angora goat. I've already wasted too many fleeces shearing on my own. Really need to take classes...if I can ever find the time. In the meantime, I'm in a pickle for spring shearing with reservations for two fleeces. Thanks! Mark Billadeau
The Frederick Co (MD) Sheep Breeders Assoc lists two shearers who do small flocks. You'll have to contact them to see how far both are willing to travel. Mark Frederick Co (MD) Sheep Breeders Assoc: Links
juliepoudrier
There's a young man at VA Tech. I don't know if he does small flocks. Maybe Google sheep shearing and Blacksburg to find him. J.

Tru Laingcroft www.freewebs.com/laingcroft www.laingcroftfarm.blogspot.com My shearer s willing to travel if enough jobs can be lined up to make it profitable. He can do at least 150/day or more Pam
Debbie Crowder-BaaramuLuke
Check with Derrick, he's good and in VA. I've used him for our rowdy 4-H sheep. He's a nice young man and knows his stuff. http://lordwillinshearin.com/
