  1. Thanks for everyone's help! I'm happy to report that Trend has really come out of her shell this past month... It has me thinking maybe it was a fear period after all. 3 weeks ago I was at an agility trial and she was totally social with everyone, I was actually working on her NOT jumping on people instead of being afraid of them. About a week before this trial, she was still timid, but getting better, and then at the trial it was like 'Wow! Where'd that come from?' Ever since then she has been perfectly fine with people and other dogs Jodi, I PM'ed you
  2. Cressa had some nice runs!!!!! I saw her on the live stream
  3. Both her parents are very outgoing and social. Trend and her brother were both owned by the same person before she decided it was best to rehome one of them. Trend's brother is the most outgoing, friendly puppy I have probably ever met. He loves people, other dogs, and basically anything... Thanks for all the advice!
  4. I got my Trend as a re-home about two months ago, when she was 5 months old. She is an amazing little puppy, except for the fact that she is very wary of strangers and other dogs. Her former owner said she thought she was just going through a fear period as when she was younger, she wasn't like this... It's been two months, and I've managed to get her to the point where she is comfortable walking near other people and dogs, but as soon as someone reaches down to pet her or another dog approaches her, she gets really nervous and scared. I'm trying to introduce her to a new, friendly dog each week, but so far it seems to no avail? Also with people, after she's been around them for 15 minutes, she's fine, but before that 'there's no way I'm going to let you pet me unless momma is holding me really close!' Any help, suggestions, ideas? I'm kind of stumped....
  5. Well, I've pretty much decided I will be bringing a new pup home this summer - I can't wait! Anyways, I was wondering whether a male or female would be better suited for our home. We have an almost 5 year female BC who can be a little snarky if a dog gets too into her face (just shows her teeth, has never attacked or bitten another dog), a female kitty, a bird, and I have a 11 year old brother. I have heard numerous things from males are normally more laid back and better with other dogs, to females dislike male border collies, and it is better to have two females. I'm not sure which is true, or if either are. What are your experiences and suggestions for my position?
  6. When she was about 7 or 8 months old we took her out to a local Herding breed puppy event (it was all Border Collies lol). She was very, very interested in the sheep, but her tail was always way over her back... I don't know much about stockwork and sheepdogs, but I'm thinking that's a gay tail, and not good? Here's a picture of it...
  7. I kinda want to know the quality of the dogs in her pedigree, and if any of them were brilliant stockdogs... just for fun
  8. There. I know it's taken me a while, but I added all of the names and locations of the owners. Link again: http://lpanda.proboards.com/index.cgi?
  9. I currently compete in agility with NADAC, USDAA, and AKC (i know i'm bad lol)
  10. There we go, I posted it to my website... http://lpanda.proboards.com/index.cgi
  11. The other topic about pedigrees got me interested, and now I'm curious about the dogs in Angel's pedigree. Angel is 4 years old, spayed, and she and I currently compete in agility together. Here's a link to a copy of the pedigree I made http://lpanda.proboards.com/index.cgi
  12. We feed Angel the red meat EVO and she loves it (she's 34 pounds, we feed her 1 cup a day). She has pretty much stayed at the same weight, she has plenty of energy and her coat is very shiny (and no loose stool).
  13. Way to go!!!! In our last trial (Lewiston) we q'ed in every run on Friday and Saturday, but Sunday we only q'ed twice...
  14. 15" of snow does not sound fun (especially camping in it ) at least you got a cabin!
  15. Probably not, I have only trialed in and around Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. This month Angel and I are going up to Lewiston, Idaho (it will be our first time having to stay overnight somewhere) for a NADAC trial...
