Fred says he did it for his mama auntie Joan..I was very proud of my friggin red dog! Zac man was a superstar today too, all in all, a super fun weekend. I have really missed seeing everyone this winter.

Awww, Fred has run already, but it is zac mans Debutttt. I guess it is Fred's debut in Ranch if that counts..You have better sources than I, quite the little bird. Melanie, I will try to get Christine to post a picture of Fred. Poor Denise tried to get a picture of him and he always ends up looking like a lanky lurcher..a face only his mother could love...but we will try! Maybe he will feel more photogenic this weekend.

I think the more time you spend with them, the better they become..I think leaving them locked in the kennel when not working them is not a good idea at all, of course just my opinion.

I know what you all mean, I bet I hit under ten trials this year....Bluegrass, Bloomfield, Edgeworth, Dr Bens, Barbs, Rural Hill, possibly Montpelier, Hop Bottom, Fosterfields...I really cant think of any others...I had wanted to hit Sherry's but bet my handful of ewes pick that weekend to do their thing. I sure love to trial, but damn I am getting to hate traveling/driving. Course 2.25 a gallon could be a factor in all that too. I sure wish we had the challenging trials/sheep that they have out west...

Hell that 3 month old puppy has a better attitude than my 1.5 yr old nursery hopeful (not to mention a better tail!) Just ask Steve.

Marylin, I FEEL YOUR PAIN! I just filled in my Bluegrass entry. 820.00!!! I am having heart palpatations at the thought! Guess I will only be hitting a few big trials this year at that rate.

WELL there would only be three days in between..Not really that much...I dunno about that..will have to see, Stu doesnt have sheep right now but maybe someone else might do it or maybe he will have some by then..it is a nice idea though.

OH YES, I DIDNT EVEN THINK ABOUT THAT!!!!! Yes we are lambing around that time, should start any day there after. The vet said they were all about 60 days the other day when he was here... We can all stand around and watch my two ewes lamb..wont that be fun? :0 We can draw straws for who gets to band the tail. Come and stay for a week..I promise to let you sleep in and go to bed early..we can do the puppy intensive... Just got my hay in, the guy is super nice it is great alfalfa. So the barn is ready, feed is ready, shearer on standby..we are all set. I am going to write a book, lambing for the anal retentive farmer. Anyway, give serious thought to the whole trial come for a week thing...it would be fun fun! Julie, we could do the whole lamb jug thing..exactly how will you be scoring that..I will get it on the score sheet for you...who do you want as your clerk>>

I sent it right before I sent that post..think today is the last day huh? I will get the zoning thing in by the feb 1 deadline..I think it will be ok once I have the process started...I will call the guy though.
