Well I swapped some lessons for him, but that is easy to do..I figure he owes me a win at the finals and I dont mean the damn nursery either!

Chip is the rescue I begged to have after a friend of mine asked if she could have him evaluated at a lesson. She said sure thing, worked him twice more, by the third day he tore off the porch in my kennel yard, cleared the fence and brought all the sheep up...then he ate the training rope (pulled it in his crate somehow) Cost me 1700.00 for surgery then his intestines quit working, cost me another 350 to get the meds to get them going again...Got me pulled over on the way to the vet for the third time (cried my way out of the ticket, I was hysterical by that point) and FINALLY we now have the papers..all this and he is only 8 months old! and pretty nicely bred to boot. Things are going quite well considering he didnt even know his name when he came, I sure thank my friend for getting him to me, I have high hopes for him. So Nancy, are you happy you asked about Chip?

ahhh your first lamb, what flavor? I just had a lesson this morning..talk about one of your days.. Fred looked like he need a little lead in his ear...Tak was up to his usual tricks and I am giving my 12 occlock and then heading back to the safety of my covers and see if I can pretend that this day never happened....sheesh...what a mess.

Oh god Lori, be afraid, very afraid...I have been shown by a professional shearer how to do it and I did one or two..god that is hard work...as Nancy says, catching them is bad enough...I wrestled the new wool sheep and caught all but ten of the 100 for the shearer this year. I wanted to DIE. I already have my new setup for next year as I now realize it isnt like throwing my 70 lbs hair sheep under my arm and carryign them thru the barn. Not by a long shot.

Can you commute to VA and can you operate a bushhog? You can have all the sheep time you want if you will mow grass!

A friend of mine is going to the funeral on Sunday...she was a dear friend of his for years and he has recounted many stories to me. She sounded like quite a lady.

Awww you took pity on me and all I had to do was barf up a lung...easy crowd...yes.....

Thats a really pretty dog...what is it? Maybe his nose is short and his lips droop cause he got kicked while working a cow...sheesh, you guys are soooo quick to judge. I am sure they took the time to comb out all the brambles and mud and washed their dog right after they finished shearing in prep for lambing...comeon give em credit!

Ah well blessed are we the innocent...I still have the letter and as you say, it was the best I could do, and other than Westminster last year, Tuck hasnt been to any akc events recently!

I have a letter from them stating that they did remove my dogs from the registry....go figure.

Yes, they do..all just so friggin tasty...I just bought 300.00 worth of 100 calorie granola bars. I am cheerfulness and light...oh so happy..hear me sing...fallalallalalal.... (till I lost the bet and had to stand on the road wearing my sign dressed in thong underwear "Honk if you love a porkchop") Wonder if I would have to go before the zoning board and get a special permit for that?
