I just said a prayer for him and I will continue to keep saying them for you. I am the same way. My DH always tells me that he doesn't know what he is going to do when we have children given the way that I am about my animals.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing. The lesson is a great one for a just in case... I am soo glad to hear that he (and you) are both doing better. And while you all are talking about the wet dogs stuff. If anyone has any suggestions on getting mine to like the water, I am ALL EARS!!!

I'm so excited to see that someone else is doing this. Blaze and I have our first class on March 16th, I'm missing Gator Nationals for it and I never miss Nationals. (I really love horse power) Got any suggestions for me, at least along the be prepared for list.....

Just be prepared for a little fighting, but as long as you stick with it all should work out fine.

Maybe I am lucky then. The only real issue that I have with Blaze is that he is very active and always wants to go, go , go. I do not have any real disciplinary issues with him. How much do you want to bet that I just totally Jinxed myself.

This is true, mine is forever tattleing on my cat. However.... This I will have to disagree with. My Blaze does GREAT with my cat Rebel. It all depends on the dog, and normally if the dog is raised from a puppy with cats it is not an issue. And rescued grey hounds being good with cats is NOT what I have seen. My sister in law owns 2 retired grey hounds and they do not do well if they see any cat, squirrel, rabbit. you name it. If they see they try to go after it. And inside they are the sweetest, most calm, and loving dogs that you have ever met. They just can't help it. It's what they are.

The entire thing is just so sad. From beginning to end. What will it take for people to really start caring and do something.

I have heard quite a few people refer to a teenager/rebelious terrible stage and I am curious since Blaze is my first BC when this stage starts occuring. Or at least what is the average age? I really want to know if I got lucky or haven't hit it yet. and if I haven't hit it yet, what I should expect.

I promise I will post them as soon as I get the pictures downloaded. It went REALLY well. Given that one of the males was still in-tact I wasn't sure that it would go smoothly, but IT DID and I am soo glad. They all had a wondreful time. I'm hoping that the next time we do it we will be able to get even more of them together.

Well I am off to take Blaze for his first romp with 3 of his 12 littermates. I can't wait. Pray for me that it goes well.

That is a GREAT picture. Have you tried peanut butter in a kong or everlasting bone that he can chew on. Mine LOVES peanut butter.
