  1. My BCs are 18 months old now and my neighborhood is getting built up overnight. I will be moving to a new, more secluded area in within the year, but the recent influx of people here has made it difficult for me to take the dogs out without putting them on a leash. I could probably win the Iditarod with these two dogs. They pull hard enough to hurt themselves sometimes and my normal training methods have not worked. I understand walks away from their regular territory are extremely exciting for them, but I need to figure out how to keep them at my side.
  2. I was actually looking for a way to keep my girlfriend in line . . . .
  3. Please forget the Frisbee (registered trademark) if you love your dog. This type of activity puts excessive stress on the dog's spine and can lead to early infirmity.
  4. Does anyone know of a source for training vidoes? I didn't see a source on this thread. Sit, stay, come here, lie down, get in the damn bath tub before I have to come over there and get you, get the ball, get the brush, go to sleep, and go find mommy were easy commands. I'd like to get something on 'uniform' commands for herding activities. I don't have any sheep, but would still like to teach them the basics.
  5. I have two four month old BC puppies (one male, one female), and I'm having only one real problem. Every time I come home, the female gets so excited to see me that she pees all over the floor. She is already trained to scratch the back door when she has to go (smart little bugger), but she can't seem to hold back when I get there. I have no problem with the male. I am expecting too much from a four month old puppy? If this is some puppy sign of affection, I'd prefer to be licked in the face.
