I am in Greenville. We are new here. I am glad we rescued from a shelter, too. It makes me so sad to think about all those dogs just waiting to be adopted (and cats!). I need to put her in puppy training classes once the school year starts and we have a little more money.

Hello all. We just rescued a lab/BC mix from the animal shelter last month. She is great. Way too smart for her own good, good with my cats and kids, and really hyper. My family had border collies many moons ago when I was young. We plan on moving in about a year and I hope to get some land and some sheep. Does anyone have experience with introducing a BC/BC mix to livestock when they are a bit older (she will be 1-2 years old when we do)? Should I avoid this, or are there ways to get her to respond well? We are new to this area, and I am 90% sure there are no sheep farms around here, so I can't take her to see them, though I might see if they have any at the fair next month. TIA.
