  1. ya my bc does that too. It's probably just cause they haven't done it in a while so they're more excited and trying to do well at it.
  2. Don't worry about not understanding the lingo and everything, that's why you're taking classes. If you're in a basic agility class I bet there'll be plently of people in the same boat and when i started agility i had no idea what to expect but it wasn't bad. My first lesson she learned how to go over a jump and through a tunnel and that was it
  3. what's a skipper key? I feel kinda stupid but that doesn't sound like anything to me That was hilarious though!
  4. I've been asked if my dog is a Brittany (Sp?) by her vet no less! She gets mutt all the time and aussie just as often. EDIT:People think she's a brittany because she's a red bc. Most people have never heard of them or seen one. She's 3 now and everytime my grandma comes to one of her agility trials she still thinks it's amazing when we see another red one. "Those are so rare" is a common, yet incorrect phrase from her lol you gotta love grandmas
  5. Lupin is my favorite character from Harry Potter. Which is my favorite of all my obsessions.
  6. Yes! Me, last night. She would never dare bite anyone else, or me for that matter she'll just act like she's going to bite me to warn me you know. She doesn't bare her teeth or anything but she just puts her mouth around my hand like she's gonna bite but doesn't press down on anything. I hate it when she does that though, I worry that she'll actually bite a little kid and something will have to be done about it. She only did it because I was trying to get a splinter out of her foot and i guess it must have hurt but she calmed down when I stopped.
  7. I've been looking for someone to give me herding lessons but the only guy I can find in my area hasn't e-mailed me back and its been nearly 3 weeks. Does anyone know of anyone in oregon? Or where I can find somebody? Thanks in advance
  8. ^^ kyrasmom has a good point, they all go through it just be glad it's not something worse than socks. Brandi chewed through the wall of her kennel, and then a door once. She loves wood for some reason but she never liked socks or shoes or anything. Anyway, the point is socks are much cheaper to replace than a wall good luck
  9. thanks, those are really good ideas. I'm definately going to use them
  10. hi, I'm new well, I live in an area with a lot of hills and things so it's really slow moving walking my dog and nowhere to take her swimming or anything so does anyone have any other ideas for excerise? I'm working on building up my endurance but i can't run very far with her pulling on the leash trying to go faster you know? She does agility and loves fetch but she needs something else to do sometimes. We do a lot of training but she loses her focus after 10-15 minutes so we have to take a break so she can run. She's 3 years old btw and as bcs come not really high strung or energetic but she's got more "go" than most dogs.
  11. you just made my day For the record, magic is a really cute name for a dog. So is Luna.
