  1. Popcorn will start nagging me about 10:30 or 11pm to go into the bedroom for the night, while Pepper will just go in and lie down on her own. Their last trip out at night, to "go" is around midnight. Every other morning, they both get let out again at 3:30am when husband goes off to dialysis and then again at 8am. Otherwise on his days off dialysis, they just wait and go out at 8am.
  2. In my experience, either excitement or exercise will do it.
  3. Welcome to you both! You've got some good looking dogs there. Has the Vet done any allergy testing? Allergies can stem from ingredients from their food, or grass, or something in the house, even the food bowls....
  4. We play alot of thinking games. Hide and seek, find a certain item, hot or cold-etc. I love to watch them think, and they really enjoy it.
  5. Suggestions for her owner. 1)GET HER SPAYED- the poor dog is following her instinct and roaming 2)Get her microchipped & ID'd 3)Spend more time with her dog 4)Train her dog 5)Put up a REAL fence if she can 6) Only let her dog outside, if she is with her 7) Keep her on a leash Suggestions for you.. If you find her, again, consider NOT returning her. IMO- That lady does not deserve her back.
  6. My husband's female, Pepper is more aggressive, independent and bitchy. Marks way more than my male, popcorn. But loves people and other dogs. My male, Popcorn, is cuddly with me and family. Ok with other dogs or else chases them out of yard. Either ignores people or else, or is A BIG crab with people who push themselves on him. Trust me let the dog pick you. Each time I was set on a certain gender, either the opposite picked me or else I ended up with the opposite gender, and it worked out wonderfully and I never regretted it for an instance.
  7. So glad he bounced back. I was so worried there for awhile. So glad when you told me last night that his that zoomies are back. Zoom on Blackjack my boy!
  8. I am so sorry to hear this. My condolences on the loss of your sweet girl.
  9. Bless you for taking her in. I agree, I'd have her scanned then check all the Human Societies. But if she was used for a breeding dog, and then left loose, there is a good chance no one will claim her.
  10. Ditto! Nothing else would matter if my dog is missing!! And I wouldn't trust anyone to return him- or her. Contact info- (even tattoos sometimes) are easily removeable!!!
  11. I'd worry about any diarrhea that goes beyond a day or two, unless you have switched foods recently. Has she been wormed? Could she have gotten into anything? I'd hold all food and rest her GI track for a day or two, and then get her to the vet asap, if that doesn't work.
  12. Tell me there was not a LITTLE anger involved there at that halti! I agree with Cool Dave
  13. I agree with the above. Use other hand or try soccer or kicking the ball. Worked for me.
  14. Yeah that's what I was thinking. Hope he is ok.
  15. I'm coming into this a bit late but still no word?? Hope the little guy is ok.*Sending healing thoughts*
  16. Pepper does this too. They "say" it is submission smiling. But I think alot of times she is really happy when she does it. And I know that she picked it up from us. I have come to find that BC's mimic alot of human behaviours.
  17. I'd say Aussie/ Bc X too. Gorgeous little pup!
  18. Pepper likes to multi-task too! She does the ball in mouth while batting things about too. That or she bites at things while batting the ball around.
  19. I go there everyday too. I've got reminders sent to my email inbox daily and then I can just click on the link once a day. But it's wonderful that you are posting about it. More people need to do go there. It only takes a few seconds each day. Who doesn't have time for that?
