I recently discussed Trifexis with my vet, and he says not only have his patients not had any problems from it, but that it is what he uses with his own dogs.

My brother has taken obedience classes at the Mountaineer Kennel Club with a couple of his dogs and was extremely pleased with the quality of the classes and the teaching methods. Says he would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Morgantown, WV area.

My two BCs are both great with kids. My 3 yr old BC Esther, thinks there is absolutely nothing closer to heaven on earth than being surrounded by a group of children. She visits schools and community events on a regular basis, and heads direct for the kids every time. Puts up with most anything they do with no worries at all. Granted, not all BCs are like this, but proper, early socialization and training can go a long way towards helping the situation. I also think there are dogs of every breed that are more or less tolerant of children than others. Hate to see any breed lumped into a specific category as if every dog in that breed will react to every situation in the same manner.

The Red Roof Inns in that area generally allow pets. Not sure if there is one in Ann Arbor or not, but the one in Farmington Hills (about 40 minutes away) is very dog friendly.
