Wow Sarah !! I quess Rebel and Rune might be cousins. As some of you know on the boards this is where I got Rebel 2 years ago. I almost feel now he was a rescue from them. I didn't know much about finding a Border Collie and went to their web page. My daughter and I drove to their farm and picked out our new pup for my husbands birthday. Her brother also had his pups there. She also breeds with Allan Millers herding dogs who show all over the country. Rebel has turned out to be a wonderful companion dog and wouldn't give him up for anything in the world no matter where he was bred. I have truly appreciated all the information and advise that I have gotten from the boards. Sarah I have Rebels papers with his background and ancestery and the ABCA registered him two years ago. I guess their breeding practices got out of hand and they were running a puppy mill with the other breeders and farms they delt with. I quess what they had on paper might not mean anything but it doesn't matter to me because the love and joy that Rebel has given us I wouldn't trade for anything. Keep us the good work at Doggy Day Care !!! It takes a special person to work there.

I got Rebel from a breeder in Rineyville, Ky which is between Louisville and Elizebthtown. The name of the farm is Solid Rock Ranch..I got him for a family dog. They have a website. I'm sure she will do references. They train for herding only. She also gets rescue's. He is two now. We have had obedience classes, canine good citzen and agility. He has been so much fun and is smart as a whip !!!! Border collie owners know what I mean. I'd love to have a farm now for him to run in . He get lots of excercise because he has us trained. I'm glad to hear that someone else has a BC that doesn't lift his leg. I wondered about this also. Rebel stretches his front feet forward so he won't pee on his front feet and sometimes he leans and I think he is going to pick his leg up. He has only done this a few times. He is 2 now. You think it is because they are always in a hurry and in a field with no trees or bushes to lift their leg to???? A mixed girl border next door does lift her leg and I tried to tell Rebel to watch her. Yeah !!! Oh Well !!! Love him anyway !! I can't complain, he was housebroke 3 days after we got him. Hasn't gone in the house since. He was 8 weeks.

Thanks for all your nice comments. When I signed Rebel up for CGC I didn't know that it was AKC affillated. We have been taking different obedience classes and two agility classes. We take classes at Super Dog Sports Center in Simpsonville, Ky. Marilyn our instuctor has two training arena's and full agility course in the building. I asked her advise on what Rebel needed next and she said that she would like to see him do CGC with some issues we were dealing with. I did have the option of sending in form for a certificate to AKC. It asked if he was AKC or IPL. He is not. Not sure what IPL is ??? Are BC's on BC board members of this? I just enjoy going to classes with him and training him and to have respect for just owning a BC is challenging. Thanks again ! Diana

I am so proud of Rebel. We took our 6 weeks of Canine Good Citzen Classes and had our Final Exam this morning. Of course I was more nervous than him. He had 10 stations he had to pass. He did it with flying colors. Rebel is almost two and has had some issues with some things and he has come a long ways. Our next venture will be Advanced Obedience. I've been taking him to the nursing home where my mom is and is meeting and greeting all the residences there. Just wanted to share!!!
