  1. This little guy has been with me for three weeks now so I figure it is about time I give him an introduction! I lost Chase back in September and Spock has filled that empty hole in my heart. I realized that haven't raised a dog from a young puppy in over 20 years , so it has been great fun to have a baby in the house again. Spock just turned 13 weeks old and is unilaterally deaf. Since he didn't make the cut for a potential herding prospect, I was lucky enough to be able to offer him a home. Now for some pictures of this wonderful little guy....... Hanging out with his new buddy. Looking very serious in the yard. Trying out prick ears. Perfecting the puppy pounce.
  2. This has been such an amazing journey. I look very much forward to hearing about Kelso's future.
  3. I believe she means miniature Border Collie as in all grown up personality and attitude.
  4. Nancy, I can't seem to find your phone number, but I'd like to talk with you about Dixie. Check your pm's. I'll give you my number and you can call me when you get a chance. Jenn
  5. Hi Nancy,

I'm not familiar with Nancy's dogs, but I think you are right to follow your instincts and wait for the right dog. Remind me what kind of dog you are looking for and I can keep an eye out for you. Jenn

  6. We went up to Franklinton and looked at two dogs that Nancy Solum is fostering. I think we could adopt Betsy. But she is 4. I was hoping for 6 months to 2 years. Know of any around here? I'd go to the pound - but I'd have to bring home every dog and cat - and rabbits and guinea pig and even snakes.

  7. What a touching tribute. I remember when I got that first email about the two LGD's many years ago and was so happy that they ended up in such good homes. I'm more than certain that she appreciated and loved you as much as you did her. Jenn
  8. It was a tough battle.... but eventually, the kitty won.
  9. One of our kitties can't resist the stuffies either.
  10. Hi Nancy,

Fantastic. The first thing to do is go to our CBCR.org and fill out an application (the adoption application is for new fosters as well.).

  11. We're definitely not ready to adopt another dog yet. But DH just said that if (when) you have a relatively young dog that is OK with cats and with older (9 and up) kids and who needs a temporary home, he might be willing to foster. We don't have a fenced yard, but we are willing to do lots of 1-mile walks around our neighborhood pond.

  12. My heart just aches for you right now.
