  1. Still calling him a foster, huh? He looks sooo much like Kate. Which, of course, is not helpful at since I don't know what she is either. Does he have banded hair? I am curious to see if his coat changes at all. Miss Kate actually lightened up quite a bit.
  2. Woo's heiney looks just like a Beardie! That would be a fun thread... The FlamboyanceTM as Rorschach test
  3. You commute from Oakland to Los Gatos? This list is long, but there's lots of info about classes, drop-ins, seminars, etc. http://www.wagntrain.com/Events.htm
  4. Although it's not mentioned on the DVD jacket, the second review down says Arizona Sheepdog is one of the extras. http://www.amazon.com/Old-Yeller-Vault-Dis..._pr_product_top
  5. I have the opposite problem. I have had people argue with me that Bella must be a BC when I know that she is mixed. She does favor her BC side more than her ACD side in term of movement and personality, but she is what she is. Mutts are funny like that. And Kate? We don't even need to go there.
  6. Your guess is as good as mine. I usually just refer to them as the red one and other one.
  7. What coat color do you prefer, if any? I don't have a color preference. Although, I am not a fan of merles. And why? Not sure why color is not important to me, just isn't. I do have other visual preferences (smooth over rough, prick ears over rose ears, etc.). The most important thing for me is finding a good fit. If you have a preference, would it dictate your choice of dog? Well, all other things being equal, I would choose a non-merle over a merle. However, if a dog came along that was a great fit for me and the girls I would not turn the dog down just because it was merle. Does your current complement of dogs reflect this color preference? Yes, neither of them are merle.
  8. I have a few of these: http://www.viewtainer.com/ They used to sell them at CleanRun. Doesn't look like they are carrying them anymore. Basically the same thing that Paula posted. A tad bit cheaper, though and more size options.
  9. My Bella is a BC/ACD mix. She happens to be the bestest dog in the world. Apart from the ticking and the fact that she is a bit "heavy chested," she has no typical ACD traits. Doesn't move like one, doesn't act like one. None of the words typically used to describe an ACD, like pushy, hard-headed, etc fit her at all. But, that's what you get with mixes, right? The whole spectrum. Is this little guy a known mix?
  10. Bella's face looks pretty much the same, but she did get much darker on her chest, tail, and particularly her legs. Bella @ 9 wks @ about 1.5 yrs Now @ 4.5 yrs
  11. HaHa! What? No microchip? And, seriously, hasn't Piper's neck fuzz been pink for like a year? Get the girl a new collar already!
  12. Gee, thanks! Glad I can be of some assistance. And while Kate is no Twist and I'm fairly sure she wouldn't give a rat hind parts about sheep, she is female...and smooth coated...and prick eared. There is the matter of her sidekick, but I'm sure Woo would have more fun with him then a soccer ball.
  13. Ha! Poor Tweed. Regardless of whether he deserves it or not....the boy gets no respect. My first thought was....well, maybe they don't want to deal with such a dark dog....but....that doesn't explain why Piper is still in the mix, does it? Oh well, tell Tweed I tried. Good luck this weekend!
  14. In San Jose... Altered dogs are $15 for 1 year or $39 for 3 years. Unaltered dogs are $50 per year. Unaltered dogs are, apparently, not eligible for 3 yr licenses.
