On Frontline ? We are having the worst year ever for ticks, as I'm sure many of you are. I was wondering if it would be OK to dose Kassie every 2 weeks instead of once a month. So far every tick I have taken off her is dead, and I believe that is a plus. I'm afraid the topical might weaken after two weeks. She is 22" and about 39lbs. What do you all think? Thanks in advance.

Today is Kassies birthday !!! Three years ago we were blessed with her, and our lives have not been the same since. :eek: We had a great day with shopping for toys, a great run in the park, and ending with her own hamburger. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KASSIE Daddy and I love you very much.

She is such a sweet looker. Now when we get together (if) we get together it will be 2 against 1 !!! Kassie will have to learn to hold her own. :eek: Congratulations !!!

That must be an awesome feeling !!!! We are hoping to start Kassie in herding lessons this spring, but it will involve a 3 hr. trip to Missouri. You make it sound like it will be totally worth it. Keep up the good work Jackson....Mom will learn eventually.

Nancy, Could you explain further on the desicated and dried? She has constant sources (3) of water freshened during the day. What oil would you recommend and what other foods. We are willing to do anything for the girls heath, as I feel that is the best gift I can give a BC. Thanks for the thoughtful answers. Erin, Thanks for the tip, she really does not seem uncomfortable. She gets pumpkin with her kibble on training night, once a week. (Cause of all the treats).

Kassie has been put on a diet, not real strict but cut back on treats and food. We also started feeding her twice a day. My problem is this...her stools are now rock hard. She gets kibble (Blackwood) mixed with canned (Nutro Natural Choice), and I add half a capsule of Super EPA. For treats she has dehydrated sweet potatoes, or dried fish skins. On school day (once a week, agility) she gets hot dogs quartered. Should I be giving her something to help soften them just a little or am I asking for trouble? Thanks for any advice you may have...

Miz, How about getting a couple of cheap walkie talkies. Put one on the counter and you can give him a command like "come" when he even looks at something on the counter. My grandkids and I have fun with them all the time, hiding a treat with the walkie talkie and have Kassie find it with our voice.

DH decided to send $5.00 from each member of the family...2 cats, Kassie, him & me You're so right every little bit helps.

AK dog doc, I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I too helped 4 of my loves over the bridge in the last 5 yrs. Please take heart in knowing that God has a new blue angel,and will send you peace, and joy in time. I have always believed there is a special place in heaven for all vets. Please help me...I have checked every site on line for the foods recommended and no one sells even close to me. i also checked within a 1oo mile radius....no luck. I thought I was doing OK feeding Iams puppy but after reading all the posts I too am ready to switch....only the best for my girl. I would appreciate any and all suggestions you may have for me in getting her the ideal food....i live in the far southeast corner of KS. Joplin, MO. is 40 min away, and Springfield, MO. is about 3 hours,but we are over there about every three weeks...thanks for any help... Kassies mom
