  1. we think panda is about 4 years old. is it too late to teach her those agility courses we see bc do on tv and what not? She's pretty set in her ways but seems to like it when we teach her new things...
  2. We have no idea where she came from because like I said... we rescued her from wandering around eastern Kentucky. Wish we could find where she came from because she is one of a kind... ' So strong... and pretty... and has so much personality.
  3. yes, she is docked. that was the initial reason my girlfriend thought she may have been mixed with aussie. Also, she has a lot of pink on her snout. do border collies tend to have pink?
  4. Few more pics and a little more about Panda. She is a maniac. When she runs in the woods she is on a mission to rain down hell and fury on everything that gets in her way. She is Robert Duvall in Apocalypse Now. She loves the smell of napalm in the morning. She sometimes gets up to a mile or more away from us but comes right back as soon as we honk the horns on our mopeds we ride through the woods. She chases us on the mopeds and we believe we clock her at a solid 15+ miles an hour at a trot.... she's not even really trying at that point. She digs chipmunks out of the ground and tears through any tree roots in her way. She also pulls dead logs out of her way.
  5. Thank you for the input so far.... we have an unhealthy love for Panda. We are obsessed. I seriously think she is the prettiest dog I've ever seen. We got her by accident through an adoption because we desperately wanted a dog. We didn't know much about these dogs. We are eager to learn about them and we are happy we discovered this site a few weeks ago. She quickly became our favorite breed ever.
  6. This is a better description of what she does than i gave. She's 55-60lbs.... does that happen in BC? You think she could be all BC? We've been thinking she's mixed for years now.
  7. If you can tell from my not so great pics... that about as long as her hair gets.
  8. Sorry ... I clearly suck at posting pictures
  9. Hi Everybody!! Just about 2 years ago we adopted this incredible dog named Panda. She was found wandering around in Pike county Kentucky. She was stray for 3-4 weeks. The Wandy is our nickname for her as Panda was already taken on the board. Panda is a mutt and we are not positive what she is mixed with.... hoping we can get some ideas here. Panda fluctuates between 55 and 60 lbs depending on the season. She loves to run. and she loves to hunt. She is a chipmunk killing machine and is the worst enemy of any squirrel to cross her path. She killed a giant groundhog in our yard and managed to kill a skunk in my neighbors yard without getting sprayed. We live in metro Detroit and she spends a lot of time on a chain in our yard but we go to our cabin up north a lot where she has close to 500 acres of wooded land to terrorize anything small and furry. When she goes for walks she pulls her 200 lb dad on his skateboard like a sled dog for about 2 miles round trip with minimal effort from dad.... he has to push the board a little bit but mostly its panda pulling him along. And she loves it.... she's a runner and loves to be put to work pulling dad. So we think Panda is a border collie mixed with pointer. Someone suggested it and after looking at pictures we think this guy might have been right. Hoping some of you folks can help us decide. She has the crouch. And she points. Welcome any opinions about what you guys think she is mixed with. And any advice on where we can find another Panda.... we love her and want another. Thanks Aaron
