  1. I love his smile too! About the daddy... the only thing I know is that there were some spanish mastiffs at the place. He is for sure half border collie since his siblings were there and they were all around the mother all the time. Also he has some border collie behaviours.
  2. He always play with other dogs doing that crouch/eye/stalk routine. I'm pretty sure of his border collie half, not so sure about the rest haha.
  3. I don't really mind it, I was just wondering. Also because I have been feeding him thinking about a medium dog, but maybe he needed a different kind of food so he could grow slower and better to be a big dog. Anyway, he is healthy, we neutered him a few weeks ago. That's the reason of the shaved leg.
  4. Thank you, yes he is and he is very friendly too, I love him a lot.
  5. I posted this topic a few months ago: http://www.bordercollie.org/boards/index.php?showtopic=38150&hl= Joe is almost 5 months now and I'm seriously starting to doubt about his breed. Anyway, the person that gave it to me is pretty sure that his father is a border collie. I don't mind about his breed a lot, but I would like to know if he is going to be a giant dog as the spanish mastiff is. I have been controlling his weight: 60 days: 10.36 lbs 90 days: 22.44 lbs 120 days: 34.52 lbs 140 days: 42.99 lbs He is cute and very intelligent, but he isn't nervous at all. Thank you very much for your help!
  6. I didn't choose him, he gave me the dog for free because he is my uncle's friend. Anyway, he is not a real breeder, he just work with sheeps and now he wanted to have a litter I don't think he knows about genetics problems. Thank you for answering.
  7. I don't know if the breeder has another stud. There were some spanish mastiff at the place, but I don't think he looks like an spanish mastiff, and he doesn't have the weight of those puppies. What do you mean with "Sadly, the color breeders love to select for colors like that"? I guess you mean the double merle, don't you? Or is there any problem about sable merle dogs? Thank you!
  8. My puppy is almost 3 months now, his name is Joe. His mother is blue merle and his father is black and white, but I'm confussed with his coat. This are his parents: This was Joe when he was 2 months: But now his coat is getting lighter: What do you think about his brownish color? Do you think that is his father for real? One of his brother is blue merle just like his mother, his sister was almost like him, but then another brother is almost white except for a blue merle spot on his leg and this one is also deaf (that makes me think his father is a phantom merle). Thank you guys.
