  1. Hi there and welcome aboard. Gratz on your new bundle of joy. Get some toys and teach your pup fetch. Don't allow your pup to jump to catch tho since this can hurt her in the long run. (damaging growing parts) I'll let those who know better anwser you in more detail. If your cut out for it BCs are the best companion dogs bar none. If your not let the nightmare begin. Good luck and pics please! This breed is very very very very very very very very active! If they become bored, they will make their own fun! (which wont be for you i assure)
  2. Poor Ouzo! Get better and cause all sorts of chaos buddy! Sorry to hear Ouzo's under the weather Anda. Hopefully it's just a quick bug and he'll be cough free in no time.
  3. ^^^ Hi Anda! How is my favorite split faced boy doing? $7.00 a dog, no matter if it is fixed or not. (rabies tag is required)
  4. 3 dogs, 2 cats & 1 human (myself) = Home 3 dogs is a bit much for me, 2 was easier then 1 so is 4 easier the 3?
  5. Very cute pics. Rude is such a good girl.
  6. I'll let it go until it sounds serious, then i'll use my alpha dog voice to break it up. Works on most dogs i've encountered. I have a mean "bark" which gets noticed.
  7. I really don't know what to tell you. I lost my heart-dog over a year ago... and still miss her everyday. I never had a connection with an animal like that before. Yeah i loved my pets but Foo was different, i never could explain it. I knew from the moment i held her and she pee'd in my hand, I belonged to her. I still catch myself looking to see if she is outside waiting for me to get home. Everyday she was in the same spot when i'd pull in. Now that being said. I got Zag 2 days after Foo passed away. I've always told people who lost a dog to get a puppy A.S.A.P. never knowing exactly why. The bond you create with your new pup *as a person in mourning* becomes quite strong surpirsingly fast. Nothing fills the moments of numbness better then the giggles generated by puppydom. When your feeling like life will never be the same, you have a cute lil fluffy butt to comfort you. IMHO there are only a few things harder to deal with in life. Just know that bond you had with your beloved Shadow will never break, and in the end I believe we will be reunited in some way or form. You are in my prayers and I am sooo sorry for your loss, my thoughts go out to you. Foos
  8. Does Revolution work on demodex like it does sarcoptic mange? You might ask your vet about it. My vet refused me anything but dipping. It sucked for all of us, but after the 3rd dip things cleared up nicely. Sorry I don't know much about Demodex other then it sucks! If you haven't tried Paramite you might also ask your vet about it. The stuff is 100% pure nasty, but it works! Again I am not sure if these products work on Demodex like they do sarcoptic. Goodluck and best wishes. Foo's
  9. Dobro I won't offer any suggestions lol i am a sh*tty trainer! I will welcome you aboard tho. If your serious about raising a healthy, happy, and most importantly a well behaved pup stick around. You won't find a better group of BC owners *people in general* anywhere else! They will talk to you straight, laugh with you, and mourn with you. Again welcome and I hope you stick around, i'd like to see your fuzzy lil thunderer over in the people's border collie gallery
  10. My 3 seem happiest playing with other herding breed dogs as well. I
  11. I just slipped Zag a micky in his rum and coke for 2 weeks! J/K he was a pain in the arse for those 2 weeks. He even chomped thru his e-collar in his boredom. Hope was by far the hardest to control tho, the minute she got home she was rev'd up and ready to play!
  12. Heard this on the radio this morning at work. I truelly hope whoever did this is met with a far worse fate. Some people just deserve very bad things. Poor girl must be so screwed up over this! I know i'd be a wreck, and my thirst for retribution would be overwhelming.
  13. Well good deal Welcome back! posting is way more fun then lurking! *snikers* Glad the pup is doing well, and all 3 of mine still refuse to get "down" right 100% of the time. Poor Beamer, I wonder what could be stuck up there? Sounds unpleasant in any case. I can't help ya with finding a trainer, but i can wish you luck in finding a good one.
  14. Very cool! Are we going to get a preview of her scenes?
  15. I am sorry to hear this news. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you can get the justice against the dog's owner. This is truely heart breaking, I was so hoping things would trun out ok. Again I am so sorry for your loss, BIG hugs from me and the crew.
  16. This makes me happy! What a nice thing to hear after a long day at work! Give the wanderer a big hug I am so pleased to hear yet another happy ending to a lost BC!
  17. Wishing Jackson a speedy return. You poor soul, i can't imagine the worry on your shoulders. Someone needs to invent low-jack for your dogs. I'll keep you both in my prayers.
  18. Oh no I am soo sorry! I hope Jackson returns a.s.a.p. I will keep you all in my prayers.
  19. *giggles* And I would have thought it would be Briar who was the sneeky one! Give the pack a scratch behind the ear from Foo.
  20. Are we related!? I worry about my crew all day, I swear i need a stay at home job.
  21. Hey you can send Rudy this way I'd foster *Foo's code word for adopt* him for as long as he needs! Honestly if i lived closer, i'd be more then happy to foster. Now if i could only figure out a way to get this stupid city law changed i could take in a few more BCs.
  22. Welcome back Bob. Give Shemp a scratch behind the ear, poor fella. Can't wait to see pics of the st. bernard my 2nd favorite breed. (tied with great danes) Oh and color me green with envy retirement sounds like pure paradise.
