New Mom

Just thought I would give an update on my new puppy... my parents did a DNA test on his sister and just got the results. I know they are 100% reliable, but here's what it said: Border Collie mix! The "mix breeds" included plott hound and australian shepherd.

I'm basing my info on what she told me. she had a pic of the parents. At least she said they were the parents. They are adorable pups and they are good pups! I love my little buddy!!!

The dad is a tri colored border collie. She said that the mom is a blue heeler. Most of the pups in the litter looked like blue heelers. The two we got were the only two that were mostly black and tan.

My mom has his sister (this is her pic) and several people have told her that she is hound not border collie.

Thanks! I was told that dad is a tri colored border collie and mom is a blue heeler. I can see both breeds. But others have questioned it. I was just curious what people on here thought.

Does this look like a Border Collie/Blue Heeler mix to you??? He's 5 1/2 mos. old, 33lbs.

Max has a few white hairs on his chest! Not a patch or anything...just a few hairs!! That's it...everything thing else is solid black.

I noticed you are in NC. I'm in NC also! I love the pics of your doggies!! I hope Max's DNA test tells us what we want to hear!!

Thanks! He is a cutie. He's very lovable and learning his commands pretty quickly. He's a wonderful pup!
