We went up to Franklinton and looked at two dogs that Nancy Solum is fostering. I think we could adopt Betsy. But she is 4. I was hoping for 6 months to 2 years. Know of any around here? I'd go to the pound - but I'd have to bring home every dog and cat - and rabbits and guinea pig and even snakes.

We're definitely not ready to adopt another dog yet. But DH just said that if (when) you have a relatively young dog that is OK with cats and with older (9 and up) kids and who needs a temporary home, he might be willing to foster. We don't have a fenced yard, but we are willing to do lots of 1-mile walks around our neighborhood pond.
