My Layla has been struggling with flaky skin for the last 30 days or so. We recently changed kibble from Blue Buffalo (fish formula) to Fromm Salmon Tunalini. She never had this condition until the changed. Not sure if she is having an allergy or if the change of weather is the problem. Haven't taken her to the vet but the itching is starting to become more frequent. Our rescue Gus on the other hand has had no problems and his skin is clear. As always suggessions are more than welcome. Thanks

Has anyone had trouble with Blue Buffalo Fish & Sweet Potato??? We've been using this product for over a year and no problems. Just started a new bag and BAM,,,, both got the runs.. I did notice the kibble looks a few shades lighter than usual!!! I'm pulling and going to put both on a bland diet for a few days and start new food. Any suggestions?? I hear Fromm is wonderful but pricey... Would love to hear back from everyone. Thanks

Is Buddy passing white phlem? If so, probably kennel cough. Could have easily picked this up while grazing with the other dogs.

Gus is an 18 month old Border Collie. We rescued him from Glen Highland Farm 4 months ago so that our other Border Collie Layla would have a friend/sibling to keep her company and to have a playmate. They have been fast friends, love to play and sleep nose to nose. And their birthdays are only 10 days apart so this year we will have a special celebration for both! Did you watch the show? The dog almost died from being obsessed with the water. It's cute but also can be deadly.

Julie l lived in the Princess Anne area of Va. Beach down near the courthouse. There were plenty of public parks down there that are dog friendly...

I hope this post doesn't jinx anything, but here goes. Layla had her 2nd dose of Drontol plus and 7 days of Flaygl the middle of December. She's been off the antibiotic for 2 weeks now and everything is A-OK. She did however have a loose stool the day after Christmas but we gave her a few cookie treats (organic no-grain, etc). Shame on her owners for that. She's been strictly on her Orijen 6 fish kibble and nothing else. I now have to believe it was some unidentified parasite. We did order the panacur but have not given to her since the Drontol plus and Flaygl seemed to have done the job. We have the Panacur ready if the problems heat back up. You don't know how much of a relief it's been to have her doing so well. Thanks to our friends on the BC boards for the great tips and continued support. Have a safe and happy new year.
