The dog was in "Home Painting for Little Folks or Pleasant Plays for Winter Days." 1899, K T Boland, Juvenile Publishing Co.

The Donkey was in "Animal Babies" 1947, Kathryn & Byron Jackson. Illustrations by Adele Werber
