The lambs are about a month old now, and are nibbling grass and generally being silly. It was such a lovely day, I could have spent the whole day in the field, watching lambs. Oh wait, I pretty much did! Posted Image

Lou says that spending a day in a field of sheep is a very good thing.
Posted Image

The sheep don't seem as keen on the idea of Lou hanging with them all day.
Posted Image

But they resigned themselves to our presence and went about their business - being adorable!

We are super-cute.

And my favourite lamb of this season.

This ewe is the most protective of the bunch. We call her Mean White Ewe and she'd prefer you didn't get closer, thank you very much.

And then there's the flip side - Billie and Flower, the bottle-feds. Rose has taught them to heel. Posted Image
Posted Image

They are oblivious to dogs.

Poor Lou will work anything, even bottle-fed lambs who ignore him.

Wick would rather roll in the grass. Not much of a work ethic.

Well, in fairness to Wick, there is one job she likes - hunting. Here she and Crombie perform some preliminary excavation in search of rats.

And Rex? He's just happy it's sunny.

I spoke too soon, sorry!

All of those are fantastic photos, but I especially love the third one. The second to last is absolutely adorable.
Your lambs are sooo cute.

Thanks for sharing them, that spotty lamb is adorable looking ;)

Beautiful pics, our lambing will not start before end of april (and that´s considered rather early here).
I envy your weather; We have sleet here at the moment...

I HEART LAMBS!!!!!

I was up at my trainers this weekend and on Sunday morning when I went to move sheep I found two new born black and white lambs - I was so excited!

Love the pictures, as always! :D

Looks like Mean White Ewe's little lamb may have an attitude-in-the-making. Call her Little Mean White Lamb...

Poor Lou, I feel for him. Having had children, I know what it's like to be ignored by youngsters...

Love the lambs, love the photos, love the sunshine, love that you shared!

Thanks guys! They're not my lambs, they belong to my friend whose farm we terrorize visit most weekends. The weather over the past little while has been fabulous. Hopefully, spring is finally here.

Here's a little video of the boys working, and the lambs not cooperating for their videographer. Posted Image
