How does the IDP thing work? I've worked up a fair amount of patterns over the years that might be worth sharing.
Here's the page about it. It's pretty straight forward. Work up a proposal with pictures or sketches, include the finished size(s), what Knit Picks yarn you will use/how much, your name/address.
If you scroll down on the page I linked you'll find a link taking you to the submission upload page. They reveiw them and get back with you in 1-3 weeks.
If they accept, they'll send you the yarn to make the project. You make it up, take pics of the finished project and put together a PDF pattern. Then mail the sample back/email the pattern and pics.
They do a final review (Which most everything passes, providing you did a good job with the sample and pattern etc) and it goes up on the site within about 3 weeks. Then they send the sample back to you.
Designers get 100% of the profits

and are payed through direct deposit every 3 months.
FWIW, even with the supply of yarn through the IDP program for the past year and decent self control, I still wind up buying yarn. Just got a box from Little Knits yesterday
