Friends of mine (Rob & Cathy Robertson) are looking into African Tribal Sheep. Anyone have a source for them? I tried Sheep 101 and not showing as a breed in alphabetical listings, but I know they exist. Comment and/or email R&C with any info. @ bigvalleyranchhorses@yahoo.com or go to their website and email from there: bigvalleyranchva.com Thanks.

Helmut Lang (writer of the Hair Sheep Reports column in Sheep!) raises African Tribal sheep. The magazine may have sources of this breed.

Thanks Mark, that is one of the issues I was missing. Cathy tried to call Helmut Lang, spoke with his son, I think and anyway after the conversation she said she hung up having not understood but a few words he said. His accent (?) was so thick she couldn't understand him. Cathy is too polite to have just told him that.

You could also email Susan Schoenian (sheep 101, MD Small Ruminant, sheep & goat extension agent, etc); she is very helpful.
