My profile pic isn't visible to users. When I go to my profile page, it's there, so I don't understand why it is apparently hidden when I post in a forum. Any help?

The profile pic (on your member page) is separate from your avatar (what other members see when you post). To change your avatar, go:
Settings
Profile
Change Avatar
and upload your avatar picture.
