I'd like to see comparison photos of your BC between 3-5 months, and what they look like today. I'm trying to get a feel for what Nick's going to look like, coat-wise. (Plus, who *doesn't* like to see BC pics??!!)

Jin at 13 weeks.

Jin at 6 months

You're wrong. No one here likes looking at BC Pics since they take up too much bandwidth. smile.gif

You can expect to see his coat go from puppy fuzz to start looking like an adult coat. Marks like spots and such will start to appear. His coat will also change texture. As for what it's goiung to feel like, check th eparents. Jin's coat is hard and slick except around his head where it is silky soft.

It is amazing how much they change from puppy look to adult - - here is my Roz - -

At 3 months:

I labeled this one 'Dork on couch'!! blink.gif That pretty much sums it up - here she is @ 5 mo.

And here she is an adult dog:

One of Ted's nicknames is "Babydog" because he has changed so little from when he was a puppy! People comment on how his fur is even puppy-soft.

Six? weeks old:

Just a bit over four months old:

Five months old:

18 months old (note the hair quality blowing in the wind tongue.gif ):

Two and a half:

I think he's going to end up even hairier - he's got even a thicker coat now than when these pics were taken, and it's been quite hot. He's intact so it's those boy hormones at work - he's also finally starting to look like a boy dog, as well.

Sam's turn, though he's not grown yet:

Sam has changed a whole bunch from the furball he was as a baby. Just took some new pics to capture this new stage.

Sam, on the left, five weeks old, picture courtesy of his breeder Christine Henry.

A blurry fuzzy puppy, about eight weeks old:

About three months old:

And now:

I expect Sam to be very hairy like his grandsire Rook and his grandsire on the other side. His development seems to be following my old Ben dog, who went through the same "smooth coated" phase from six to eighteen months, but ended up with quite a lush coat for an inside-only dog (when he was well).

Alex is like Ted, I don't think he's changed much from 3 months old 'til now. Just got taller (but not much! laugh.gif )

Becca, Sam is SO cute! Love the ears.

Odin 3 months:

4 months - his lips and legs are WAY less ridiculous now, but this might have been the cutest ear-a (get IT?) yet:

5 months:

And here he is now (age 1 yr to 14 months or so):

Not much style yet:

Well, pretty-boy style ... laugh.gif

ETA great thread all around! But "the dork on the couch" - I remember that too! Some days I would just bust out laughing at Odin's dorkiness at that exact age.

Wow I have a serious fail situation here. There's a drastic time lapse in my pics...at least my available pics (which are most of them). It seems my pups mostly skipped months 3-5. Fail on my part. These are the photos I do have...

Gunnar between 8 and 10 weeks

Rhea around 8 weeks

This is the only pic I can find when they were around 3 or 4 months

This month...so that would be a little over 3 years.

Gunnar was always a smooth coat with some feathers. Everything has stayed short except his butt hair.

Rhea is a fur machine. She started off as a little ball of fluff though so we knew what to expect. They're litter mates too, so its been interesting see how they develop differently.

ETA: We adopted Masi at 1 year so, no pics of anything before then. And I really doubt her previous owners bothered to photograph her. angry.gif
