Hi everyone,

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post this.

First, let me introduce myself. My name is Rhonda and in live in South Louisiana. My bc, Deuce, and I herd on most Sundays with Donna (Tips Mom)/Mick & Calli and Danielle (Chesney's SLUgir)/Chesney.

I've been one of those "silent" members for a long time now. Donna convinced me that I needed to come out of the shadows and post the link to this blog, complete with pictures, so that everyone could see this beautiful "work of art."

I've wanted a crook for some time now. I'd probably been looking for that "special" crook about a year before I stumbled on Mark DeCou, an artist in the Kansas Flinthills. I wrote him to ask if he'd be interested in designing/making a shepherds crook. The response I got was incredible. Mark had a design in mind that he'd wanted to do for years (10 actually) for his own border collie (Luke) who is still with him today. :-) The short version is that I commissioned the crook and it's beyond my expectations.

So, without further adieu ~

Thanks for looking!

What a beautiful crook. All the more special in that he used your own dog for the model.

I'd be afraid to use it at a trial for fear that I would break it or something.

Haha! I just finished reading an email from Donna where she liked me to the pics of the crook--it's really gorgeous! And, welcome from lurk mode!

I can't wait to see it in "real life!" For those not wanting to use the link, here are a couple photos:

And it's about time you quit lurking, Rhonda! biggrin.gif

Like these Rhonda? tongue.gif Good luck at your trial this weekend. Hope Deuce outruns and stops at the top well for you.

And one for fun... Deuce being a stinker while Rhonda's closing the gate!
