She is also very good at driving sheep, which is kind of relaxing having a dog that I know has no desire to go to the head of the flock and bring them back to me, and trotting next to me is actually her idea of having fun.

That is exactly what I was thinking with my older ACD. She sounds just like your BMD. She is happy to trot along calmy and make sure the sheep dont wander off. She doesnt seem to have any desire to go to the head of the flock either
