Very nice article Jeanne. I loved it! I'm not a history buff at all but I very much enjoyed the article... Please keep us updated! whenever you post a new one...and I'll be sure to read up! :) Maybe make a trail of updates on this same thread so that way we can see the series sequentially as well.

Their decline probably began with the Secularization of the Missions and continued as Anglo-American began to dominate the industry.

Yes, I think so. Just a little more low-key. There is a cool picture of an Altdeutsche Schäferhund (Old German Shepherd) leading a hog by the ear.
