I got Chase when I was 15, at 8 weeks old. I have another BC mix at my parents house (who is now 13 y/o), and I had competed in junior showmanship, obedience, rally-o, and some agility with her. So I wrote my parents a three page essay on why I wanted a Border Collie puppy, my plans for him, goals, etc. It worked. The next day, I was headed up to Denver to go get my puppy. Since then he's been my absolute best friend through high school, a few moves, different jobs, and a few boyfriends. What else could a girl ask for?

Our new boy is Aero. We have had him for 3.5 weeks. My mom's friend was rehoming another Border Collie, and we had considered getting a second one for quite a while- but didn't have all the time for an eight week old puppy. He's about to turn 10 months old, so I knew we would be getting a teenage bottlerocket.
Before anyone asks, he is an ACK dog. I know, I know. His drive shows it too, lol. I still think Barbie collies are nowhere near as good looking, but honestly, I couldn't resist the face. He only weighs in at a whopping 24 lbs, so we like to call him "corgi boy." I mean really. He's little. BCs shouldn't be so little and look so much like Aussies, I agree. Our little rescue dog came to us with a lot of neurotic behavior. With trick training and physical/mental exercise, those issues have nearly disappeared and we are really getting to know him.
What can I say? I love these two little dudes. We are looking to get Aero into some dog sports later when his growth plates have closed because he is a lot more confident and happy than Chase is. Chase is more emotional and melodramatic to say the least, haha.
