Do feeding quantities differ?

Always compare the kcals when you switch. Not only can you accidentally waste food if you feed too much, but you can also cause health problems if you underfeed, or if you overfeed (not just weight gain, but digestive upset).

If the food has corn meal, you have to feed more. They can't digest that so it's just waste - quite literally.

 

And I bet they count the calories in the corn meal, even though they go straight through the dog.
