OMG he is even cuter in motion.  Serious puppy/dog envy.

He's ridiculous and I'm not sure if I'm going to make things better or worse, but.

He went with us on a Lowes trip.

They have Halloween decorations out.

He tried to convince a 6 foot tall animatronic Frankenstein's Monster to pet him.

I feel like this sums up his personality, neatly.

Still stinking cute.  Isn't he supposed to be in the leggy ungainly stage now?  Where did that go?

Not that I am complaining, he has brightened my Monday morning.

I think the ACD half of his genetics ate the lanky stage.   Actually, I think he's probably 85% grown now.  We'll see if 'fills out' means he turns into a cinderblock, but he's got enough leg that I'm not overly concerned.

And cute.   Definitely definitely cute, even if he's not always the easiest to get accurate photos of.   He looks wildly different depending on camera angle, I swear.

This makes me happy.

6 calendar months - though well over 24 weeks and a mouthful of adult teeth, but any excuse for pictures.

BC, BC/Pit, Kiran.

He did really well, actually.  Meeting up with friends to work on stuff, he had pretty danged good focus.  Needs fewer people to 'it's okay' re: Jumping,  and he managed to intercept a lot of toys that were not his/thrown for him, but he also managed to be off leash, recall well, and work with me on and off leash in a pretty busy environment (ducks, squirrels, dogs, people).

I'm honestly still kind of waiting for him to fall completely apart, because he's so surreal.  Not just because Molly at this age (and younger) was already a total wreck, but because he's basically the embodiment of what I call a 'Unicorn Dog'. You know the dog that everyone wants, but exists primarily if not entirely within the confines of fantasy and imagination and myth?

That is 99% tongue in cheek, but only about 99%.

He has toy and food drive coming out of his EARS.   He's biddable and handler focused as heck.  He is confident, social, and friendly to people and dogs of all shapes and sizes - but not indiscriminately so or stupid about it and can also ignore other dogs and people.    He has an off switch.  He would rather work or play with a person but he can self-entertain.  He is extremely, extremely sweet and cuddly.   He learns quickly, easily, and well and is consistent and dependable as sunrise and sunset.

I mean, he also demand barks like no one's business, listens to no one but me, freaks out if I leave him with someone else (not if I leave him alone in a crate, but if I walk away and leave ANYONE else with him? Yes),  and has a pretty short attention span (he's 6-7 months old, it's a thing), and he has some training holes to be filled (again, he's young), but he's just Really Really Good.

And some things I know will change as he matures - he's not going to be as friendly and people/dog social when he's older, but that's just part of maturing and actually pretty preferable to me.  He is just perfectly, exactly, completely, what I wanted.  EVERYTHING I wanted, down to even growing a fluffy tail :P

Funny looking as heck, but man. He's good.

How dare you call that gorgeous creature funny looking!  :o ;) B) :D

I believe everyone is entitled to have a dog that is everything they want at least once in their life, and it is usually not when or the the one you expect.  Sounds like you may have found that one in Kiran.

Once again, congratulations! You have found a treasure. Is he going to have an agility thread (in due course)?

Between him and Kylie, man -

I could probably start an agility thread with him, now.  It wouldn't be very many interesting to most people but he's doing some foundation and flat things at home.  Should start class early next year or spring, depending on when it runs, though and then there will definitely be  a thread.

Meanwhile, he's learning the (also foundations and flatwork) for flyball via a drop in class.  I'm not particularly interested in DOING flyball, but there's some good learning here, both in specifics and in being in a class setting.  ...and manners/obedience bores me to tears.
