Rolf
How I love to see BC`s at work. Thank you for sharing us. Great pictures. And very interesting. It looks like you trained for a trial. I also love it when a cattle dog does what he was born for - herding. My BC works sheep, ducks, cows and Bulls. Pipedream Farm
1. Christine Henry & Bess 2. Carla King & Emma 3. 4. 5. 6. Mark Billadeau & Peg Robin French & Spottie and Donald McCaig & June placed in the top 6 but we can't remember were. The first Nursery class was not finished on Saturday and we did not go today. The sheep are North Country Cheviot crosses. Mark

NCStarkey
Hello everyone, Great photos, Mark! I was at Edgeworth today, but I don't think that anyone took pictures (drats!). Kirsti wrote: "What kind of sheep are those? They are rather nice-looking." Mark replied: "The sheep are North Country Cheviot crosses." Mark is correct about the sheep being Cheviot crossbreds (of course), and some of the Edgeworth sheep show characteristics of their sire, a Bluefaced Leicester ram. This is especially apparent in the ewe closest to the handler in the photo of Carla and Emma. Those long ears are one reason why this cross is called a "Cheviot Mule". Shoofly
Mark - Great shots of Spottie and SOS (Zac, Son of Spottie). You have to send me those of the old girl - she can still get up and go, whoo! Glad you're having fun with the new toy.
Genie
Awesome pics. Its tough to get action shots like that. If I had tried taking them, they would all have been a blur...
sandra s.
Argh. Somebody had her cell phone switched off, therefore we missed a chance at sheep lessons this weekend, and now you have to post those  . But thanks for sharing anyway! Great dogs and great pictures (and handsome sheep)!
