Mark Billadeau
Here is an update after a year; Lee moving pregnant ewes from barnyard to field.
Smalahundur
Nice and calm. I think it is interesting how relaxed your sheep move even though the dog is working pretty close to them.
Mark Billadeau
The yearlings ewes (right at 12 months and not bred) are not as calm, especially the ones off a particular ram.

Are you using Lee to work those sheep also? And if yes does he handle them well?
Mark Billadeau
Yes, we just got back in from working that group around the field we put the ewes in in the video. He stays calm most of the time. He strongly feels the pressure and at times will fight me to release the pressure to allow the sheep to move. He gets this from his mother. I've been working on his releasing pressure and staying calm while working towards pressure.
Mark Billadeau
This is not a great video (taken with cell phone) of Lee gathering a small group of the yearlings on the same field. If you can see the top of the fetch you'll see Lee figuring out his to cover the strong pull to the left while still allowing them to move down the fetch. Smalahundur
Thanks for sharing that. Lee sure looks like a very nice dog. Tried to figure out your whistles, but apart from walk up, I am struggling
