And not only that, but because they don't often speak English and don't understand the laws here, there are at least some unscrupulous ranchers who take advantage of them, sometimes to the point of abuse. I actually looked into doing that job for a short period of time (i.e., not permanently), just for the experience, but the conditions really are pretty deplorable. J.
