Alchemist
Come to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival and support Border collies! This year's Sheep and Wool Festival (held at the Howard County Fairgrounds on May 6-7, 2017; just a short drive from Baltimore or from Washington DC) will be a little different: there will be a $5 entry fee (unless you're a member of the Maryland Sheep Breeder's Association). Still an inexpensive way for a really fun day for the whole family! Lots to see, from live sheep and alpacas, to demos ranging from sheep shearing to demos related to fiber arts. Lots of inexpensive workshops as well (some may be full, but if you like what you see - there's always next year!) HORDES of vendors selling all kinds of reasonably priced objects of all descriptions! Best of all, there will be a demo of working Border collies, with none other than the BC Boards' own Nancy Starkey providing the commentary (and the beautiful sheep)! Most important: this is a way for you all to demonstrate your appreciation of Border collies by supporting the 2017 National Sheepdog Finals. There will be a booth right outside the sheepdog demo area both days where you can purchase Finals-themed merchandise. Sue R
I would if I could - but I just bought a hoodie, so that should count!
