Journey
I have someone who contacted me as they are wanting a pup. Specifically they asked if there was a *special needs* pup as they've had 2 and would be interested in helping another. I have no background on these people what so ever. Just putting word out to try to help. Thanks!
GentleLake
You don't say where these folks are located, and I don't know if Glen Highland Farm in New York adopts outside their coverage area or not, but they've got a special needs pup (probably now older than the 5 months they originally posted him as), Kiran. http://glenhighlandfarm.com/ghfdogs.htm
nancy in AZ
Karen, I volunteer when needed for Amazing Aussies, a rescue group that specializes in lethal whites. They focus primarily on herding breeds and often have bc's and bc/aussie X. You didn't mention where this interested party is located. The local chapter of Amazing Aussies is out of Phx, but I believe they have other chapters in the east and/or southeast. Feel free to PM me if you want more info. Journey
Ah, sorry, they are outside the Richmond Va. area.
GentleLake
Then I'm pretty sure GHF would accept an app from them! It's kinda on the southern limits of their coverage area (they say northern VA), but they're looking for adopters with experience with special needs dogs for this pup, so it's definitely worth a try if they're interested. rufftie
there is also a dog at www.prbcr.org named Declan, he's not a true special needs , but he has some old injuries that might make him less appealing to some adopters. I think he's a doll.
