Once again, one of the world's premier stockdog trials will be taking place at Lexington, Kentucky, the heart of the Bluegrass! The dates are set for May 13-17, and the location will be the beautiful Masterson Station Park.

The size and scope of the Bluegrass makes it one of the largest venues and biggest trials in North America. Classes are run concurrently on two fields, an Open field with an outrun of about 400 yards, and a Novice/Nursery field.

Two two-day Open classes are run, with about 134 entries per class. The top 20 combined scoring teams go on to the Final on Sunday, a Double-lift, International Shed spectacular run on the Open field.

While the two Open classes are being run on the Open field, four days of classes are run on the Novice/Nursery field - a total of four Nursery classes, one each day; Ranch classes on Wednesday and Thursday, and Pro-Novice and Novice classes on Friday and Saturday. In addition to class ribbons and prizes, awards go to those with the high combined scores in each class.

The Bluegrass attracts entries from all over North America and sometimes also a few from across the pond to lend an international flair. You may get to compete with and watch past International Supreme winners, USBCHA National Finals winners, Canadian National Champions, and UK/Ireland National Finals winners.

If you don't trial, and even if you do and entry the Bluegrass, you can also have the opportunity to help make the 2015 Bluegrass Classic SDT the outstanding trial it will be by volunteering for one of the many positions available (scribing, posting, running scores, hospitality, administration, etc.) and/or supporting our fundraising efforts by purchasing advertising in the program or sponsoring a class, ribbons, or trophies.

If nothing else, if you can, do yourself a favor and come watch the best of the best running in one of the outstanding trials in the world! You can find more information as it becomes available at our website, www.bluegrassclassicsdt.com .
