A question to those who have had both kennel dogs and house dogs - have you observed any differences in health for each type?  Is there any indication that dogs that don't live in the house are healthier than those who do?

I grew up with country farm dogs. Indoor dogs and outdoor dogs seemed to be pretty equal in regards to health. They all got basic vet care, good shelter and food. Most lived into their teens. The house dog did live a bit longer but she was also a smaller breed than the outdoor ones
