Sue R
For those of you who have been involved with stockdog trials, you know what I'm talking about when I tell you that one of North America's largest, longest-running, and most prestigious stockdog trials will be held in less than two months at beautiful Masterson Station Park in Lexington KY, in the heart of the Bluegrass. The Bluegrass Classic SDT draws top handler/dog teams from all over North America (and sometimes even from across the pond) to compete in the USBCHA-sanctioned two two-day Open trials and four Nursery trials, as well as in the two classes each of Ranch, Pro-Novice, and Novice. The trial is crowned with the running of the top 20 combined score Open teams in a Double-lift, International-shed Finals on Sunday. The Bluegrass is truly an "open" trial - competitors range from National Finals, Canadian Finals, Bluegrass Classic, Soldier Hollow, Meeker, Grass Creek, and other major trial winners running in Open, Nursery, and intermediate classes, to Novice handlers running their first dog. Admission is free, concessions and vendors are on-site, the park is family- and dog-friendly (a large dog park is adjacent), and the Kentucky Wool and Fiber Festival is held concurrently on May 16-17 in the park for those who enjoy the fiber arts. You can support the Bluegrass whether or not you can attend. An ad in our program is a great way to thank a mentor, recognize or memorialize a dog or handler, promote your product, or simply show your support for these amazing working dogs. Go to our website http://www.bluegrassclassicsdt.com/5.html to download the ad/sponsorship form. A trial of this quality and magnitude can't exist without the hard work and the support of many people. You can volunteer to help at this page http://www.bluegrassclassicsdt.com/9.html and be an essential part of a legendary trial. Thank you for your support! Sue R
I forgot to mention that donations in any amount can be made on the website through PayPal. Any and every donation is appreciated and put to good use! http://www.bluegrassclassicsdt.com/donations_106.html
Tess's Girl
The Bluegrass has just launched an online fundraiser. Even if you can't make it this year please consider a donation to help keep this fantastic trial up and running. Just $10 or $20 dollars can make all the difference. http://www.gofundme....luegrassclassic
Sue R
The deadline for getting your ad in our program is April 20th, so please submit your request now! You can download the form from our website and send your check to Susan Carvalho at the address listed on the form, and send your ad copy directly to her at carvalho@uky.edu. Program ads are a great way to get your product/service out to the sheepdog community; to memorialize a favorite dog; to thank a mentor, or to simply demonstrate your support of the Grand Old Lady of North American Stockdog Trials. In addition, you can make a financial gift in any amount via GoFundMe or via PayPal (on our website under "donations"). Or, you can order our 2015 Bluegrass Classic SDT short-sleeve or long-sleeve tee-shirt (featuring Robin French and Bill, I think, from the 2015 running of the Bluegrass) or one of our 2015 caps. And if you want to be a part of one of the greatest trials anywhere, offer to volunteer via the link on the "volunteers" page. See you in May at Lexington's Masterson Park Station for the 53rd running of the Bluegrass Classic SDT! PS - Sorry, I'm blaming the old eyes, but I put the wrong number in the title. Sue R
You can still order your 2015 Bluegrass Classic tee-shirt and cap from our website but the deadline is fast approaching. Your order will help support the trial and get you a great tee and/or cap as well. This year's design features Robin French and her dog in the shedding ring from the 2014 trial. Orders may be paid via PayPal on the website for pick-up at the trial or for delivery. Limited numbers of tees and shirts will be available at the trial so order yours now to ensure getting what you want!
