Woffie
My female is 1 year old. Is it too late to start teaching her agility?

muttlycrew
Not at all! My female is just 15mos and I am starting her. She's done super well and people are surprised when I tell them she's only been training for about 2 months now. My oldest dog (11.5) I started at 6 years old. Have fun! SecretBC
I didn't start agility with Luke until he was three years old. If anything, starting with a mature, trained dog just makes it easier.
Pat W.
At age 1 growth plates are close to if not completely closed and joints are better able to withstand the stresses of training. My daughter just started her dog at age 1.5 yrs , I started my first agility dog at 2, so Nope 1 is not too old! Go out and have fun
Root Beer
Maddie started training when she was close to 5, we started competing when she was 6, and she's still competing at 9. 1 year old? Definitely not too late!!!

Rainierlass
PERFECT time to start! Just be sure and not jump her @ full height until her growth plates are closed - - we wait until they are 15 months. Have fun!
