I hope I can get this video to work.  This dog has figured out how to get people to play ball with her.  Go to this page and then it sends you to youtube for the video.

Yes. Everyone stopped to throw her ball back.

This also shows just how smart these dogs are.

I'd seen this before. It's hysterical, so fun to watch again.

To share a direct link to something like this, just copy the URL (web address) that shows in the box at the top of the page (e.g the one for this page is http://www.bordercol...topic=39787&hl=). The just paste it into the text box here.

So for this one you'd go to the page you linked to, then the Youtube page, then you'd copy the Youtube page's URL and paste it here. ;)

I believe my Jester could have figured out just such a thing to do. He was an expert at getting people to throw something.....anything.....for him to fetch, under any circumstances.

Probably a lot of these people knew this dog- pass by every day. So they stop and throw his ball back for him.

So funny.

Not exclusive to border collies, this sort of charm mixed with drive. My beloved Tillie, probably an Australian cattle dog, had regulars who visited her weekly, sometimes daily. The mail carrier, the UPS guy, the little girl who walked with her daddy every Sunday to get a muffin from the bakery just around the corner from where I lived  . . .

They all got caught in the 'throw the Frisbee for the cute dog" trap. Tillie had friends I'd never met. When she ran away one 4th of July weekend while I was moving, she got picked up, (sooooo grateful) by a CHP officer. He told the folks at the animal shelter if no one came for her, he'd like to adopt her. Still makes me smile.

And I personally am a sucker for any friendly, at least moderately well-behaved dog.
